Dr TVSajeev learned Zoology at Maharaja's College at Pre-degree and Degree levels. He did post-graduation in Zoology at the Department of Zoology, the University of Calicut with a specialization in Entomology- the study of insects. He obtained his PhD from the Cochin University of Science and Technology on his thesis on Spatial dynamics of teak defoliator (Hyblaea puera Cramer) outbreaks: Pattern and causes. He currently is the Senior Principal Scientist and Registrar at Kerala Forest Research Institute at Peechi, Thrissur, Kerala. Over the years, his research interest has crossed over to landscape ecology, biological invasions, chemical ecology, soundscape ecology and insect conservation. Sajeev's areas of research and intervention include the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Si Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and the Philippines. He writes and speaks on matters related to earth.
